He recorded them onto a handheld tape cassette player which he eventually transferred to his computer. Today Jake has a collection of more than 200 original songs spanning a time frame of 18 years… In 2011 Jake released his first self-titled solo album. The second album titled “Acoustic Frequency” was recorded in August 2014 and was released in March 2015. Today Jake stays busy performing shows under his name and is often accompanied by Gretta Hunstiger on Fiddle and Daryn Christensen on percussion. He also performs with the alt- bluegrass band “The Pistol Whippin’ Party Penguins”. On top of writing songs Jake is also a practicing artist and art-teacher. The music and art go hand in hand, each song and each piece of art tell their own story.
