THE HARMALEIGHS is Haley Grant (guitar/vocals) and Kaylee Jasperson (bass/vocals). Since the duo came together in early 2013, their sound has transformed from an Americana cadence into a unique indie pop/folk fusion. Their anecdotal lyrics are sung through intimately blended harmonies on top of dynamic melodies and bluesy guitar riffs.
THE HARMALEIGHS are currently featured on the Spotify playlists Happy Folk, Folk Pop and Barista Blend. Their song “I Keep Ticking On” has over 1.7 million listens.
Opening the evening…Whimsical and charming, Lena Maude performs original songs with a large vocal range accompanied most frequently with folky guitar picking and vocal layering via the use of a looping pedal. She also experiments with drum, shaker, ukelele and voice to create simple but noisy compositions. A mixture of beautiful, graceful, rough, and slightly spooky, her songs are ‘booky’ – a lyrical mish-mash, both sorrowful and hopeful containing amateur nature commentary, sometimes crass reflection on the human condition, notes on relationships, and pondering of the unknown.
