The Five Points Jazz Collectives is a Madison-based, guitar-fronted Jazz group performing originals as well as standards in styles ranging from Ballads, Bebop and Blues – to Modern, Modal, and Fusion. Charlie Painter is a self-taught musician who has been performing in various ensembles for the past ten years. Constantly focused on honing his craft, he also plays in a local Jazz guitar Duet and gives lessons. Charlie’s main influences are Wes Montgomery and Pat Metheny. ”
